Link Your Content with Holidays and Watch it Go off like Fireworks

July 4, 2017 by Felipa Villegas

The Fourth of July is one of the biggest holidays in America and what better way to promote your content then by connecting it with the Holiday. Although the holiday lands on a Saturday, it doesn’t mean that your business should ignore it.

Some companies are closing this Friday to observe the holiday. Social media, however, never closes. Tools such as Buffer, HootSuite, and TweetDeck can help you schedule content and distribute it even if you are not in the office or working for that matter.

Using Twitter is probably the easiest way to engage with your audience. Doing a quick hashtag search on Hashtagify of #4thofjuly gives you the most tagged hashtag on the internet. Below is the result of the hashtag search:

As you can see, America and fireworks happen to be two of the words associated with the #fourthofjuly hashtag. I’ve used both of those words in this blog post, once in the title and the body of the blog. If these are trending right now, chances are, that people are searching Google for these keywords. If people are searching these words then you have a chance of having your blog post be added into the search rankings for merely writing about the subject of Fourth of July.

Another way to participate in the Fourth of July trend is to post an image about the holiday and include it with the hashtag mentioned above. Also, you might be out of the office, but utilizing a tool like Buffer as demonstrated below, you can be sure to engage with followers even when you’re not working.

It’s easy to keep your brand and content relevant by incorporating it to a holiday that is sure to drive traffic to both your website and social media channels. What strategies will you be using? Let us know in the comments below!
